Academics

Our Academics

Delta Tau Delta is an academic leader in the fraternity world. An increasing emphasis has been placed on academics here at the University of Missouri, and Gamma Kappa Chapter is no exception. Delta Tau Delta has always stressed academic excellence through an active academic committee that provides support through extensive programming tied to our University faculty advisor, Traci Scardina. She assists those members who the Fraternity feels is in need of extra assistance in maintaining their G.P.A. and setting personal goals, so that Delta Tau Delta may remain an academic leader here at Mizzou.

Recently, Delta Tau Delta has made large improvements to the academic success of its members. Our house's GPA is 3.009 which is above the all men's campus and all fraternity average. The newly remodeled Hibbs Study Center, located in the basement of the shelter, is a sound-proof room equipped with computers with internet access, printers, test files, and study tables. The study room was complete in 2005, solely through contributions from one of Gamma Kapps's valued alum, Sherlock Hibbs. The shelter also houses its own wireless internet service available to all members with personal computers. All these resources allowed Delta Tau Delta to achieve an active G.P.A. last semester higher than the All Men's average at the University of Missouri.

The main reason you are coming to the University of Missouri is for an education, which is why we make it our primary goal here at Delta Tau Delta. We help our members develop leadership skills, interpersonal competence, communication skills, and self-confidence, all while maintaining their scholastic success.
